Our Vision

I thank the members of Rotary Vapi Phoenix for giving me an opportunity as a President for the year 2023-24. I assure that me and my team – my board members will ensure that we will be actively working for betterment of the society. With an urge to give something back to the society in terms of Service Above Self and having the Rotary spirit within ourselves, we 6 Rotarian friends got together to form the Rotary club of Vapi Phoenix in the year 2021; a club with 60 Charter Members and most importantly, an equal number of males as well as female members.

We would love to work on projects related to envirornment, women empowerment, sanitation and many more. This year, as promised by the District Governor we have promised 20 sewing machines to be donated to the students of Project Kaushalya which will help us to increase our production of cloth bags for our another project, Planet Saviours.

Avadh Shiksha (Future Under Construction), Kaushalya and Planet Saviours have been projects that are extremely close to my heart and I will ensure that we keep working on them.

For projects we need funds and I thank IPP Rtn Hemant Prajapati and his team for finally offering us a clear vision by facilitating the club an 80G complaint Swabhimaan Trust, final order of which we received on 30th June 2023.To raise funds for the trust we are planning 2 mega fund raising projects, which will be taken up by my fellow Rotarians, Rtn Rajiv Sarayan and Rtn Divya Vasave.

We also intend to start computer classes also for basic knowledge of computers along with accounting softwares like Tally so that they can productively contribute in nation building with their employment .

With blood donation camps, Project Samarthya, tree plantation programmes and Red Revolution, we kickstarted slowly and steadily. Immediately in the next year we started Project Kaushalya and I am proud to say that till now we have trained more than 50 underprivileged ladies. We collected old bedsheets and curtains from the societies and got cloth bags stitched from the students of Project Kaushalya which created a win-win situation by spreading the message to replace plastic bags by cloth bags as well as giving employment women. For this project, Planet Saviour, we received a Letter of Appreciation from Gujarat Pollution Control Board. This has encouraged us to work more vigorously on this project this year.

We collected used milk bags and have now tied up with a unit to manufacture paver blocks from these used milk bags and household plastic.

Last year we tied up with Avadh Foundation as well as Maa Foundation and started a unique concept to educate the neglected children of construction workers under Avadh Shiksha (Future Under Construction). We were provided a brand new container by the Avadh Foundation and Maa Foundation provided us the teachers for the project. This school had a maximum strength of 60 student till now and I promise to keep up the good work.

We would love to work on more projects related to environment, women empowerment, sanitation and mental health.

In the end I would like to thank my parents, my wife Smita and daughter Ananya who have supported me in taking the presidentship this year.

Anticipating your kind cooperation and support.

Vishal Nadkarni,
President (2023-24),
Rotary Club of Vapi Phoenix.
